This bedroom project involved converting three existing IKEA PAX wardrobes into a built-in style feature.
The wardrobes were already installed, but there were visible gaps around the sides and top, which made them look more like freestanding units. The aim was to create a more fitted and seamless appearance so they would sit naturally within the alcove.
To achieve this, I added custom MDF surround panels, carefully fitted the framing, and carried out all the preparation work before painting to match the existing wardrobes. This gave the whole installation a much cleaner and more bespoke finish.
The completed wardrobes now look much more like a fitted bedroom unit rather than standard flat-pack furniture, and the final result works really well in the space.

Custom side and top panels installed to integrate the IKEA PAX wardrobes into the room, creating a clean built-in appearance.

The custom-built surround was primed and prepared before applying the final colour-matched paint finish.
